Memory of Seven…

(Written in 1975)

Memory of Seven 1

He rides his Shetland Pony at gallop speed…
along a furrow in a harvested field of wheat…
straight toward…slipping into…the rural wooded land…
his course set upon a mysterious, murky pond…
dark secret retreat from a world fashioned by man…
filled up with teeming, writhing life forms, moss and peat…

“Destination pond” reached…he dismounts by the edge…
in the murky bog pond…the croaking frogs enchant…
life fascinates…looking at mirrored facets…
the sun’s late rays sparkle on the water’s surface dance…
he gazes at his reflection…already troubled…
about the future of a small primitive world…

Memory of Seven 2

All of life is in a life and death struggle of chance…
with its complex web of relative lies and truth…
look at you…now… you’ve worn so many faces…
since that day long ago…playing by the pond…the youth…
loved throwing stones into those secret spaces…
watching in awe…vibrating circular waves…

Not realizing the true parallel to all life…
the Spirit of God penetrates mortal mind…
to assist the consciousness through endless mazes…
throughout the whole of one’s life…ever know and find…
seven circles of experiential growth centers…
delicately touching…superconsciousness…

Memory of Seven 3
radiating inward and upward…subtly enters…
the place where personality, spirit and soul…

are now one…

the parts have become the supreme whole…
